Not really gourmet, but these are simple and quick and always provide a simple but satisfying breakfast.
Ingredients
  • One Fresh Egg
  • Sliced ham
  • One slice American Cheese
  • English Muffin
Instructions
  1. Start by slicing an English muffin in half and toasting it.
  2. In a small, lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat crack one egg. Try to keep it from wandering over the whole pan. I lightly break my yolk but you can fry your egg any way you like. When the egg is set and ready to flip, add a couple slices of ham to the pan and flip the egg. You're not really cooking the ham, just getting it hot. When the egg is done, the ham will be done.
  3. On the muffin base, add the ham, then the egg then top it with a slice of American cheese. Cover with the top of the muffin and let the whole assembly rest for three to five minutes. If it's a cold morning you can store them in a warm Dutch oven to rest.
  4. Everyone seems to love these.
